THE NO MAKEUP LOOK

Bare, plain and pure, healthy skin was the most trending look on the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week SS20, celebrating clean beauty and diversity. The airy, naturally glowing makeup sparkled at the DAWEI SS20 fashion show, a collection dedicated to independent urban women. “We wanted to create really amazing, beautifully fresh skin”, says makeup artist Jenny Jansson, who used exclusively MÁDARA Organic Makeup and skin care products to create looks that resemble perfectly hydrated and naturally dewy skin. “Then we add the beautiful blue highlight on the top, just to give it a bit of a 90s feel”, says Jenny.

MONOCHROME MAKEUP

Using just one colour (and one product) to do it all – eyes, cheeks and lips – is both bold and sustainable. Be rebellious with black, seductive with pink, or futuristic with blue. Persistent white, moonlight blue, tender greens with some sudden splashes of bright orange or yellow is to come. Pair a sugary white monochrome outfit with frosty eyeshadow or an elegant highlight for an Ice Queen impact. Sleek, pulled-back hair will add some masculine aesthetics to the look.

URBAN ANIMALS

Wild is wild. Animal prints, leather and the pursuit for a sustainable vegan alternative are to stay, less on the catwalks, but increasingly more in the urban jungle. Belted leather coats are spotted backstage and in the streets. Get yours from vintage or vegan leather, and pair it with massive sandals and a dash of HUNTER green on the eyes.
